Mining Markets story a finalist at KRW Awards

Mining Markets received an honourable mention at the 2010 Kenneth R. Wilson Awards,  held on on June 1.

Trish Saywell, a senior staff writer with The Northern Miner placed in the top 10 in the category Best Profile of a Company, for her story on Premier Gold "Persistence paying off for Premier" in the December 2009 issue of Mining Markets.

Mining Markets editor Alisha Hiyate also received an honourable mention for her story on revisions to National Instrument 43-101, "National Instrument 43-101 to get an overhaul," published in the July 20-26/09 edition of The Northern Miner.

The KRW Awards, now in its 56th year, celebrate the best in Canada's business press journalism. Both Trish and Alisha were winners in 2009 (a silver for best news coverage and a gold for best profile of a company , respectively) for stories that appeared in The Northern Miner.
